•  Our rights are inherent and unalienable. They don’t come from the government, and they cannot be stripped away by fear, greed, or power. I will sponsor a California resolution affirming unalienable rights and opposing state-level participation in federal overreach.

•  Due process is a right,  not a suggestion. All people within the jurisdiction of the United  States, including non-citizens, are entitled to due process.  I will introduce a bill ensuring access to legal aid and prohibiting state cooperation with unconstitutional detentions or deportations.

•  I oppose all forms of authoritarianism: illegal deployments of  the U.S. Military, unconstitutional surveillance, suppression of speech,  and the weaponization of immigration laws against vulnerable people, including veterans. I will work to prohibit state and local agencies from assisting illegal federal surveillance or military actions, and strengthen state protections for whistleblowers and journalists.

•  I’ll fight to protect democracy by ending gerrymandering and dark  money, expanding access to voting, and making Election Day a holiday. Democracy should serve everyone, not just the powerful. I will co-sponsor independent redistricting, push for full campaign finance transparency, introduce a bill to make Election Day a state holiday, and expand same-day and mail-in voting access.

• I support whistleblower protections, transparency, and limits on executive power — because a government that fears scrutiny is a government unfit to lead. I will strengthen state protections for whistleblowers who expose illegal or unconstitutional federal actions, ensure California agencies resist unlawful federal directives, and pass legislation reaffirming the state’s right to challenge federal overreach in court.

A home isn’t a luxury — it’s a human right.

• Ban for-profit corporations and out-of-state businesses from  owning single-family homes. Housing should shelter people, not  portfolios. I will introduce legislation modeled after Canada’s foreign-buyer ban and similar state proposals to prohibit corporate and non-resident ownership of single-family homes, with phased compliance and penalties for violators.

• Help working Californians, especially first-time buyers, with down payment assistance, low-interest loans, and policies that  prioritize families over speculators. I will expand the state’s first-time homebuyer assistance programs, earmark revenue from wealth & property taxes to fund grants and 2–3% fixed-rate loans, and adjust zoning policies to prioritize family housing.

•  I will Fund these programs by:     
  •  Implementing an excess property tax on individuals who own 3+ homes. I will propose a statewide property surtax on third and subsequent homes, assessed annually and dedicated to the affordable housing fund.
  •  A wealth tax of 25% on income above $250M. I will work to amend California’s tax code to add a 25% bracket for incomes over $250M, with funds allocated specifically to housing, infrastructure, and public services.
  •  Replacing the unfair flat corporate tax with a tiered system (5–15% based on profit). I will draft and advocate for a graduated corporate tax rate that scales with profit, encouraging small businesses while holding large corporations accountable.

•  Rehabilitate vacant and surplus properties and convert underused  office space into affordable housing, putting empty buildings back to  use for the community. I will support incentives and partnerships with local governments to convert blighted or vacant buildings into affordable housing units, following successful models from cities like Los Angeles and New York.

•  Ensure that all utility rate changes and housing-related costs  are decided locally, with public oversight and full transparency. I will push for stronger public utility oversight laws, requiring public hearings, local input, and transparency reports before any rate or fee increases are approved.

Building a future that works — and lasts.

• Invest in clean energy for people not profit.  I will expand state funding for rooftop and community solar, prioritizing residential and urban installations over sprawling utility-scale solar farms that consume farmland and open space. I’ll also support community-owned micro-grids and cap investor-owned utility profits while strengthening oversight. 

• Cover aqueducts and waterways with solar panels; saving water, land, and money. I will launch a statewide program to install solar arrays over aqueducts and canals, following successful pilot projects. This generates renewable energy, greatly reduces water evaporation, reuses existing infrastructure, and preserves land for homes, farms, and nature. This saves billions  of dollars worth of water, while also generating revenue and power for local communities over time.
   
• Protect California’s water future with drought resilience, reclamation, and sustainable agriculture. I will invest in regional water-recycling facilities, modernize irrigation, and incentivize farmers to adopt water-efficient crops and practices through targeted subsidies and tax breaks.
   
• Expand local food production to reduce emissions, create jobs, and strengthen our communities. I will partner with nonprofits, fund urban farming initiatives, support cooperative agriculture, and remove zoning barriers for small-scale, community-based food production.
   
• Support small, veteran-owned, and community businesses by cutting red tape, targeting tax relief where it helps most, and ending corporate welfare for billionaires. I will streamline permitting for small businesses, provide tax credits for veteran and minority-owned enterprises, and eliminate subsidies for mega-corporations that don’t reinvest locally.
   
• Hold corporations accountable for the harm they cause to people and planet. No more extracting profits while externalizing costs. I will strengthen environmental and labor enforcement, raise fines for violations, and create a state-level public-interest litigation fund to hold corporate actors accountable for harming California communities.

Your body, your choice — healthcare is a right, not a privilege.

• Establish universal healthcare for all Californians funded by fair taxation of the ultra-wealthy. No one has to choose between their health or financial ruin. I will push for a single-payer, state-run healthcare system modeled on Healthy California (SB 562) and updated to address current needs, funded through the 25% wealth tax and closing corporate loopholes.
   
• Include child care, elder care, mental health, and long-term care in a single, comprehensive system. I will ensure that universal coverage explicitly includes full-spectrum care with dedicated funding streams for mental health services, paid family caregivers, and in-home elder care.
   
• Cap prescription drug prices and end pharmaceutical profiteering. I will advocate for state bulk purchasing agreements to negotiate lower prices, push for state-run generics manufacturing program (like California is piloting now), and cap co-pays for critical medications like insulin.
   
• Trust people, not politicians, to make their own medical decisions. Reproductive freedom and the right to choose are non-negotiable. Government has no place in your doctor’s office. I will protect and strengthen California’s reproductive rights laws, expand access to abortion and contraception, and fight any federal attempt to override state protections.
   
• Guarantee dignity and care for disabled, elderly, and vulnerable Californians without stigma or barriers. I will expand funding for in-home supportive services (IHSS), strengthen anti-discrimination laws in healthcare, and create oversight to ensure accessibility and respect for every patient.

A government that works for the people — not the wealthy few.

• Cut waste, eliminate unnecessary bureaucracy, and make government more transparent and efficient. I will audit state agencies to identify wasteful spending, simplify regulations that don’t serve the public, and strengthen open-data laws so taxpayers can see where their money goes.
   
• Deliver public services without burdensome red tape. I will modernize state service delivery (both online and in-person), reduce wait times for essential programs like housing aid and healthcare, and streamline application processes for ordinary Californians.
   
• Provide tax breaks and targeted support for working-class Californians while ensuring the ultra-wealthy (who built their fortunes thanks to our infrastructure, workforce, and security) pay their fair share back into the system. I will lower taxes on low and middle-income households, fund it by closing loopholes, enforcing higher rates on ultra-wealthy individuals, and corporations benefiting most from public resources.
   
• Ensure that no profitable corporation receiving state support pays so little that their employees rely on public benefits. I will tie state contracts and subsidies to fair-wage requirements, preventing corporations from offloading their responsibilities onto taxpayers.
   
• Build a balanced economy where hard work is rewarded and greed is kept in check. I will strengthen labor protections, support unionization, and oppose corporate monopolies that suppress wages and competition.
